Get organised
I think my lack of success in getting organised can be seen by how long in to the New Year it has taken me to write this post up! I'm the queen of unorganised and I spend at least 15 minutes dashing around the house before I leave for anywhere, looking for my bank card, lip balm, keys etc. This year I plan on purchasing a diary in a bid to be slightly less scatterbrained and a bit less forgetful. Of course my unorganised self has yet to purchase one but when I do I'm making it my aim to write everything down. At present I try and keep everything noted mentally and when I go to bed my poor little brain is still whirring away for hours.
Eat Better
I try my best to eat plenty of fruit, veg whole grains and as little refined sugar as possible but admittedly I do sometimes fall off the healthy eating wagon. Since being home for Christmas and being surrounded by cheese and sugary snacks I've been more naughty than usual and I can definitely feel a difference. As of the 1st I've been making a conscious effort to cut out more junk, especially my beloved cheese and try and eat a little bit cleaner.
I have put on a fair bit of squidge in recent months but my reasons for eating healthier are more geared towards feeling better in myself. I feel like I have so much more energy and my mood is better when I eat well. I'm really looking forward to trying out some new recipes and getting stuck in in the kitchen.
Blog more
I find that I go through phases where I'll blog really regularly and then sometimes it's weeks between posts. I think this comes down to my lack of organisation again and the typical ' there aren't enough hours in the day' excuses but I'm determined to stick to some kind of regular schedule this year!
Beauty
Take care of my hands
My hands are definitely my most neglected body part. Other than painting my nails I just leave them to their own devices and don't bother to moisturise or really take care of my nails, terrible I know. I've currently been carrying around a hand cream and attempting to remember to moisturise. I wouldn't leave the house without a lip balm and I only think it's fair if I stop neglecting my hands.
Don't be lazy with skin care
As much as I love skin care there are some nights when I just cannot be bothered. I always remove my make up no matter how lazy I'm feeling but I don't always moisturise or do a full routine even when my skin is crying out for some TLC. Well not any more! I'm making a special effort to set aside some time for some skin loving and hoping for good results.
Clean Brushes
I do clean my brushes regularly but not as often as I should. My blush brush is probably the most neglected as I don't feel it gets 'dirty' like a foundation brush even though it does.gross!!

i am the same on the get organised and eat healthier resolutions! if you need a diary look at the dodo journals, i have one and absolutely love it because they are so cute that you have to use it! x

I'm trying to get into a routine where I moisturise my hands first thing on a morning and before going to bed, but I tend to be pretty lazy on a night aswell! Bed always seems like a better idea!
ReplyDeleteCan relate to everything in this post, I'm un-organised, eat too much bad foods... aha ^_^
Good luck with the new years resolutions!! xx
bed definitely beats moisturising. I've been trying to go to bed a little earlier so I still have the energy to look after my skin rather than just wanting to jump in and fall asleep in seconds xx
