The green smoothie


Okay, so I'm guilty. It seems in my house Christmas 'tis the season to over indulge and be it chocolate, doritios and dips, puddings or cheese boards I shamelessly scoffed the lot. 
Come January my month of eating anything in sight has left me feeling sluggish and a little bit blerghhh. In a bid to inject some more fruit and some well needed veggies back in to my life I dug out the blender and got peeling.

Ingredients:
3 oranges, peeled
2 apples, peeled and chopped
A stick of celery
A lemon
A handful of green leaves ( think spinach, or kale)

Simply chop everything bar the lemon and chuck it in a blender. Let it whizz away until it looks smooth and then add the lemon juice and stir thoroughly. If you feel that it's a bit too thick you can add some more orange or even some water.
