Phwoarr Paint
Phwoarr Paint is Seventeen's new heavy duty concealer designed to wage war on under eye circles and make you look like you've had a good 8 hours sleep.
The product itself is housed in a sturdy little compact with a handy mirror for on the go touch ups. I actually don't mind the packaging, it's not in anyway luxurious and it wouldn't look great on your dressing table but it's perfectly functional.
Having always been a big fan of Benefit's Erase Paste I instantly knew this concealer would be right up my street. It has quite a thick creamy texture but can be a little bit drying so make sure you apply some moisturiser or primer underneath first. Shade wise I find it fine but it does only come in two different colours ( fair and medium) so it's worth having a swatch in store before you make a purchase.
The coverage of this stuff is amazing. The orange tones help to counteract blue shades and hide any under eye circles and instantly brightens up the eye area. I find the lasting power is really good too and I don't have to touch up throughout the day or worry about creasing.
The application is also pretty good. I've been using either my fingers or a Real Techniques foundation brush but I prefer my finger as I find it warms the product up slightly and makes blending just that bit easier.
On the Spot Concealer
As the name suggests this is a blemish targeting concealer. Containing Skin Clear Complex with salicylic acid, the concealer is designed to give you clearer skin in just 4 weeks. Sounds promising right?
If you read my blog regularly you'll have noticed that I've been having a nightmare skin month and so I've been keeping my eye out for anything to help fix it.
Initially I wasn't going to buy this. I'd read the blurb and loved the sound of it but I could only find it in the shade 'medium' and after scouring several different Boots' I still couldn't find any other shades and gave up, assuming it just wasn't meant to be. However, a couple of weeks back and after being lured in by yet another 3 for 2 promotion I eventually caved in and bought the medium shade. As it turns out there is only the one shade online too so I think that really must be it. I can't help but find it a bit silly to name it when there is only the one shade, plus , I think only doing one shade will put a lot of people off buying it.
Negatives aside I've actually really enjoyed using this. Yes, it's a bit too dark for my pastey face but it does a great job of covering up any blemishes without clinging to dry bits and once I apply my foundation over the top the colour isn't detectable although it does have a tendency to dry a little bit dark if you pile it on ( you can see this in the top two swatches). When I use this I find I need to use less base which is always a bonus and it does seem to help fix blemishes a littlebit quicker. Overall another spot on budget product from Seventeen.
Ok, I need to pay more attention to this brand!

Phwoarr paint is just fantastic, it came along just before I was going to buy Benefit Erase Paste as well so has saved me a bit of money!
