It might sound strange but removing my make up is actually my favourite beauty routine. I love jumping in to bed with freshly washed and pampered skin and I find I sleep better if my skin feels clean.
My nightly cleansing routine consists of two parts: first up is L'oreal's micellar water to remove the bulk of my make up and I then follow this up with something more luxurious to help remove the day's grime and anything left over.
More recently the second cleanser in my routine has been Philosophy's 3 in 1 purity cleanser. Designed to cleanse , tone, and melt away make up and impurities, all in one easy step it's hard not to love it. The only not so loveable aspect is the price tag. Priced at £28.50 for 480ml it's not the cheapest product out there but it is a hefty sized bottle and it seems no matter how generous I am with my squeezing out it will not go down!
I really enjoy using this. I massage a twenty pence piece sized dollop in to damp skin to help remove any grime that might have been left behind by my micellar water. It doesn't over cleanse and leave my skin feeling squeaky or tight but instead it feels lovely and soft. Plus, being completely fragrance free I find that it's suitable for my very sensitive skin and natural oil extracts help moisturise and soothe for super comfortable skin
I recently attempted to use to it remove some mascara as well and see how it faired against stubborn eye make up. Now,I wouldn't usually attempt to use anything so thick and creamy to remove eye make up but having left my usual product at home ( I'm visiting my parents this week) I thought I would chance this one. All I can say is... Don't. It really is awful for removing eye make up and it made my eyes feel really yucky and sticky and it didn't do a great job of removing anything.
Overall I love this as a second cleansing step but I definitely wouldn't want to use it alone as a make up remover and feel it needs something else before it to properly cleanse.

Oooh. I love their stuff. It always smells so GOOD! I do find milk cleansers are most often a second cleanse option too! I love your blog by the way. It feels really cosy and cute!
ReplyDeleteP.S. Thank you for your lovely comment on my blog. My mum has one of those stocking advent calenders as well. Its not put to use too often though. Glad someone uses theirs! New Follower Alert! xx
