Revlon Evening Opulence Lipgloss in Embellished

I'm not usually a huge fan of lipgloss but needing another item to complete my 3 for 2 in Boots the other week I couldn't help but pick up one of Revlon's new offerings.
Embellished is from the 2013 Evening Opulence collection and is a gorgeous dark berry shade with tiny flecks of purple sparkle. Unfortunately on the lips when worn alone the colour doesn't translate as well and it applies very sheer and looks quite brown, not the lovely purple shade I was expecting. However over lipstick it looks great. I've been wearing it over Rimmel's 107 and it looks ahh-mazing plus it darkens it slightly and makes it that bit more glossy and glamorous for an evening.
Texture wise it's not too gloopy or sticky which is nice and the glitter flex aren't gritty at all. It isn't particularly long lasting, most glosses aren't but over a lipstick it fairs okay.
Overall, it's a really nice gloss for adding a bit of festive sparkle to an old favourite.
