I'm sure you'll all agree when I say Bourjois have been coming out with some amazing products lately. After seeing swatch after swatch, and a tonne of great reviews I couldn't resist popping a few of their 24 hour cream eyeshadows in my basket.
I'm not usually one for cream eye shadows, I much prefer powder, but Bourjois' cream to powder formula sounded so promising and Or Désir and prune Nocturne were too pretty for me to resist any longer.
I was initially a bit surprised by the texture of these. They actually feel quite bouncy and not as creamy as I was expecting but they melt so quickly under the warmth of your finger and are ridiculously easy to apply. After a few attempts at application I've found that the best way to apply them is with your finger and then to blend them with a brush.
The pigmentation isn't amazing but they can easily be built up to a stronger colour so it doesn't really matter to me. Or Désir is probably my favourite shade of the two, it's perfect for the up coming party season and is the most lovely cool toned gold. I was a little disappointed that prune nocturne isn't as plum coloured I was expecting but nonetheless it's still a gorgeous shade and lovely to wear. The lasting power of these is also pretty impressive, I've worn them a few times without primer and not had any problems with faded, creasing etc and they last even longer with a powder eyeshadow over the top.Although their lasting power is great I wouldn't say they would last 24 hours but really who wants their make up to last that long?!

I´ve been dying to try the range, especially the plum colored one ;) A little dissapointed when seeing the swatch though. It looks more brown to me? It´s such a lovely color in the pan! Either way, they sound very promising and I will for sure be picking up a few of these when I encounter Bourjois ;-) x
ReplyDeleteThe burgundy one is so much more brown than I was expecting, such a shame as in the pan it's such a stunning shade! xx
ReplyDeleteI love these shadows. They blend so well and look lovely on the eyes by themselves! I much prefer them to the Colour Tattoos. x

The colours are great! A lot of eye shadow you have to build on though.
