When I first heard Estée Lauder had reformulated their famous Advanced Night Repair I was a little concerned. I can think of so many products that I've loved in the past and when they've been reformulated they just aren't the same anymore. Considering a bottle of ANR is sold every 8 seconds I couldn't help but think 'Whyyyyyy?!' Surely they were already on to a winner? And as we say back home in Yorkshire - If it ain't broke don't fix it.
However, it seems there really was no reason to panic. Nothing has been taken away but new ingredients have been added to create a better, improved version, the main change being the addition of a purifying element.
I've only been using this a few weeks after not using ANR for a while but I've already started to notice a difference in my skin. If you regularly read my posts you've probably seen me whinging about how oily my skin has become but after a few weeks of using this I feel like it started to calm down again and is a lot more balanced, hooray! The new ANR formula contains hyaluronic acid to help skin lock in moisture and help create the best conditions for skin to repair and renew itself and so far it seems to be working. I apply a few drops all over my face after thoroughly cleansing and being a gorgeously light texture it quickly sinks in. The little pipette allows you to dispense as much as you like and I've found that a little goes a long way so hopefully this bottle will last me a while ( I don't think my poor student bank account could handle another repurchase for a while!)
Being in my early 20's I don't necessarily need something that is anti ageing but I feel that when I wake up after using this at night time my skin feels plumper, brighter and generally looks healthier- like I didn't go to bed at 1am or scoff two bags of cookies the day before. So far it's proving to be every bit as good as it's predecessor and my skin is more than loving it.
I'll keep on using it and let you know if the good results continue!
Have you tried advanced night repair? What did you think?

I loooooved the old formula until I realised it was breaking me out a bit so I stopped using. Might the new one because I did love how it made my skin feel before it broke me out. Great post :) xx

I am 35 & have been using this since the start of September & I love it. Its so hydrating and really balances my skin out. I find my skin looks more radiant in the morning too. I have been asking myself why I held of buying it for so long. Absolutely love it

I haven't used this yet but it's high on my list of priorities.
ReplyDeleteI heard the formula had been altered and I wanted to read as many reviews as possible before making up my mind and thankfully I haven't seen a single negative word.
It's great that it's helped re-balance your skin. I suppose anti-ageing creams are supposed to be preventative so using them from our early twenties can only be a good thing.
