When I first spied this on the Latest find rack in my local Boots I couldn't help but feel a little confused. A cleansing conditioner seemed somewhat of an oxymoron and my tiny pea brain struggled to comprehend the idea. I know reverse shampooing is becoming a bit of a thing at the moment but a product that could do both steps in one go seemed too good to be true. Of course being a curious Kate a bottle of the brunette version ended up making it's way home with me.
The instructions are of course super simple and basically just involve slapping on the same amount of product as you usually would, massaging it in and then waiting for 3 minutes. Before I'd properly had a read of the bottle ( face palm) I hadn't read the section that told me to expect no lather. I'd seen it was sulphate free, and most other sulphate free shampoos that I've used do lather to some degreee but this won't give you a single bubble. Not realising the error of my ways I slathered on more and more thinking that I just wasn't using enough and it really left me feeling like it wasn't actually washing my hair at all but teething problems aside I actually really like this.
I love the idea that it is a gentler approach to cleaning your hair. I have quite fine flat hair and too much conditioner can really leave it feeling weighed down and lank and harsh shampoos can leave it feeling stripped. It was actually surprising how well this cleaned and conditioned my hair. I was really expecting it to be good at one or the other, not both.
I first started using this whilst I was away and it left me pretty impressed from the get go. Swimming pools wreak havoc on my hair and turn it in to a tangly notty mess and afterwards I struggle to get a brush through it. A quick wash with this made my hair much more managable and soft and brushing wasn't a problem at all which was almost a miracle
It also managed to leave my hair feeling really soft and bouncy whilst striking the perfect balance between clean and conditioned. Although pretty pricy if you're a fine haired gyaal like me I think this is definitely worth a try!
I've never really given much thought to using a cleansing conditioner before but this sounds lovely :) xx

I hadn't either until I saw this! I didn't even know it was a 'thing' xx
DeleteI've tried loreal's version and it was really nice. It did mean I had to wash my hair more frequently but it was quick and easy if I overslept.
