I'm sure I'm not the only one with a soft spot for Clinique. They were responsible for my first ever 'high end' foundation purchase in a Barcelona airport when I was only 15 years old , and since then there has always been something Clinique in my routine.
Fast forward a few years and these two were my hero products when I was a spotty faced teen. I hadn't used a Clinique foundation in a while but when I saw they were releasing one specifically for those of us with blemish prone skin I pestered my mum for hours and hours to take me to the nearest Clinique counter because I just had to pick up a bottle. At the time I loved it. It really improved my skin and stopped any of those nasty under the skin bumps that some foundations can give you. Combined with their gentle light powder my foundation stayed in place and looking flawless all day. I was completely in love and I repurchased both a good five or six times before getting itchy feet and trying something new.

Fast forward a few more years and two old favourites have worked their way back in to my collection. I was disappointed to notice that Clinique have discontinued their gentle light powder, and that my old faithful was no more but I did replace it with their  Blended Face Powder instead. Needless to say it hasn't let me down. It's a lovely light powder that manages to keep my oily t-zone in check throughout the day and I find it gives a nice soft focus effect and blurs out any imperfections. Plus it's a very generous 30 gram tub which is will seriously last you forever. I've also been enjoying the Blemish Solutions foundation. It really does work wonders at keeping blemishes at bay and I really recommend it if foundations tend to break you out. Coverage is great, it hides the necessities without being caky or heavy and it lasts a good 8 hours on my skin. Colourwise it's not so amazing. I find it a little pinker than I would like but it's nothing I can't live with.

  4. I can remember taking my first 'proper' wage and going to Debenhams and literally buying everything from Clinque. I used their foundations, powders, eyeshadows etc etc

  5. My first high end lipstick was Clinique! I feel like Clinique is the perfect high end brand for teens! I still haven't tried out any of their face products though!

  6. These both look & sound lovely. I was looking at Clinique products online last night. It's not a brand I have tried before but I have a Debenhams gift card to spend and want to try something new. Might have to go for a nose round the counter next time I'm on town!
