MAC paint pot in Eclair

I remember this causing quite a stir when it did the rounds a while back. Of course like most limited edition Mac collections it was out of stock in no time and I couldn't manage to get my Mac loving mits on it. That was until I chanced across it in a CCO store, just before Christmas, and I just couldn't resist picking it up for a rather bargainous £9.

Part of the Baking Beauties collection, Eclair is a gorgeous, rich, warm toned metallic brown. Formula wise this is great, it's soft enough to work with but once it's dried on ( and boy does it dry quickly) it doesn't budge, which is great news for those of us with slightly oilier lids. I don't always get on with cream eyeshadows as I find they can crease quite easily on me but this cream to powder formula works really well and lasts for hours and hours. I find the best way to apply it is with a finger to warm up the product slightly, plus I find it gives a better colour intensity, and then to blend the edges out for a super quick and easy smokey eye. Boots have an eye contour brush that is amazing for blending products like this and is relatively inexpensive too.

Although this is no longer available to buy from Mac they do have a similar shade called Constructivist in their permanent line.
