If you're at all like me and madly in to your skin care I'm sure you can appreciate that sometimes it gets a little hard to keep track of things when you're chopping and changing products a lot. Sometimes I'll add a couple of new products to my routine at the same time and I have to admit I'm not always exactly sure which is working for me. I also have the same problem when it comes to which products aren't working too. A couple of weeks back I was having a not so great skin week, made worse by the fact that I couldn't quite decide what was causing it. I'm often left wondering is it that new foundation I've just tired? maybe it's the facial oil? Or have I just been eating garbage?
In an effort to combat this I've started keeping a bit of a skin care diary. I've stripped my routine back to basics and when something new is introduced I make a little note of it. I then monitor my skin for the next few days to see whether said product is irritating my skin, caused me to break out, or just isn't doing much at all. I've found this to actually be really helpful to pin point problem products and separate the baddies from the goodies. A few products have already been banished from my routine as a result of being found to be trouble makers.
This is a great idea! I have the same problem with keeping track of what products are or aren't working for me. I'll definitely be trying this x
