I recently spotted that Boots ( where else?) had a rather generous 3 for £12 offer across the Toni & Guy range. Being desperately in need of a new mousse, and unable to turn down a bargain, I took advantage of the offer and picked up a few bits.
One of the items I picked up was the Volume Plumping Whip . When it comes to hair I seriously struggle in the volume department. I have that sort of hair where unless some serious effort is involved it's as flat as a pancake. A quick glance at the box reveals The Plumping Whip is a thick cream like product designed to give ' all day volume from the root, without fly aways'. Sounds like the perfect solution for flat haired girlies like me, right?
When I first whipped this out I was a little concerned that being cream-like it might make my hair greasier quicker and over load it with product. I usually prefer to stick to sprayable volumisers as I find they feel much less producty on the whole ( think Bumble & Bumble thickening spray) This however is actually lovely. A dollop quickly massaged through the roots and a large barrel brush for blow drying is all you need to be on your way to some serious volume. On the tub it suggests using a walnut sized amount but unless you have a lot of hair I think that might be over doing it a little.
I was pleasantly surprised how well this worked for me. It gave a nice dose of volume that actually lasted, whilst still being undetectable in my hair.
great post, definitely going to have to check this out as I think we have very similar hair as in, unless I spend like an hour and a ton of products, my hair will literally stick to my head and just hang making it look greasy which is never an attractive look...

I always think that Volume products might make my hair look greasy. I will be sure to check out this product.

I'm always afraid to use hair products that will weigh down my hair, leave it greasy, or dry it out too much. It's always nice to find a product that works perfectly for what you're looking for.
