The New Thing: Pai Rosehip oil

pai rose hip oil review

This is one of those products that had been on my lust list for a while. I'd heard many a blogger rave about it's scar healing and glow giving properties but I'd also seen a number of reviews say it was responsible for some pretty nasty break outs. This really put me off; over the last few months the Clarins Gentle Exfoliating toner has really helped get my skin back on track and break outs have been pretty minor so I didn't want to introduce anything that might upset my skin.

Of course I eventually caved and curiosity got the better of me but as it turns out I had nothing to worry about. I've only been using it a few weeks so that's not really long enough for it to have had chance to work it's fading miracles but so far I'm really liking it. It's quite heavy and I find that if I apply too much it takes a little while to sink in. I find two drops are enough to do just the places I need or a third drop if I want to do the whole of my face. The pipette takes me back to the days of those year 9 science experiments and I love it. It makes it incredibly easy to dispense exactly the right amount which means there's absolutely no wastage- not that that's anything to worry about. I can just tell this stuff is going to last for ever as you only need the tiniest bit and after a couple of weeks use my bottle still looks brand new. Value for money? Check.

My intial worries of this being a breakout causing product were completely unneccessary. It hasn't wreacked havoc on my skin but has instead been leaving it gorgeously moisturised. It feels softer and more supple and it also seems to even be helping keep blemishes at bay. It's also worth noting that it hasn't made my skin any more oily. I get quite an oily t-zone and I was worried that because this is quite heavy it might just be too much but it's actually provided a welcome dose of hydration.

So far I don't have a bad word to say about this little gem. I'll report back when I've had chance to see if it really does fade marks!
