Cake o'clock

baker days cake reviewbaker days cake review

I'm sure I'm not alone when I say I love cake. Whether it's chocolate, lemon drizzle or a good old Victoria Sponge I'm first in the queue when it comes to second helpings.
You've probably all heard of Baker Days before but for those of you who haven't; the idea behind it is that you choose a cake, personalise it and then you can send it to a recipient of your choice. Think like a cake card. Genius. There are literally hundreds of designs to choose from, or of course you could upload your own photo for something totally original. There are even different sponge options to choose from too - drool. The possibilities are endless and I did spend longer than I'd care to admit choosing what to have on mine.

In the end I opted for the above*, comedy cakes are the best. When it arrived it came in it's own little tin which I thought was a nice touch and said tin has now be made in to home for my rings. Unfortunately the cake didn't last long. I managed to get a few quick snaps before my mum and I managed to scoff the lot whilst watching a couple of episodes of come dine with me ( I challenge you to not be lured in to snacking whilst watching!). I'm happy to confirm however, that it does taste as good as it looks.

After my first experience with Baker Days I'm hooked on the concept of letter box cakes. It's the perfect gift to send to one-of-those-friends-from-uni-that's-moved-back-home-now when you don't want to ignore their birthday, or maybe just as a little thank you for your cake loving aunt.
