Here are my new hair care purchases. I have that sort of hair that never ever behaves ( no matter how much styling it is subjected to), is always a little bit flat and lacking shine. So in other words I have totally rubbish hair and I'm always on the look out for products to make it a tiny bit better. Anyway, I was browsing my local boots and came across a ' 3 for £10' promotion on their salon brand hair care. I didn't really need any new products but I couldn't resist such a bargain ( each product was £6/7 each). After lots of dithering I came away with a Toni & Guy nourishing mask, a Charles Worthington sea salt spray and turn up the volume blow drying spray. The hair mask is just lovely ( so much so i went back the day after to get myself 3 more but they'd sold out :( nooo!) It is really really thick so you only need a fairly small amount and it has a really nice fresh smell. It only needs leaving on 3-5 minutes so it's super quick to use and it left my hair feeling super soft which is no mean feat. Over all I love the mask and for £7 a pot it doesn't seem a bad price.
I was a little less impressed with my Charles Worthington products. So far the only great thing is the smell ? kind of like a male aftershave?... well I like it). It says the sea salt spray is for a toussled look and I was so excited, hoping for gorgeous loose waves. My hair is naturally very curly so I assumed this product would have no problem giving it a kink or two.I'm not sure if my mistake was using it on dry hair but it just seemed to wet my and then leave it feeling sticky and dry with no waves insight!booo :( I don't really like the idea of using it on wet hair and rough drying it because my hair is mad enough on it's own.
The volumising blow drying spray didn't seem to fair any better either. I've only used it a hand full of times and it already feels half empty and instead of giving me big hair it just seems to make it sort of crunchy and adds hardly any volume at all.
I also picked up another new super gorgeous, super sparkly Bourjois nail varnish in rainbow apparition ( yep, it's getting ridiculous now). On the bottle it says ' 1 seconde gel texture'. It definitely took longer than a second to dry but it was really quick drying which is a great bonus when you're as impatient as I am. I was also surprised by how smooth it dried. I usually find that glittery polishes tend to feel quite rough and need a layer or two of top coat but this was fine by itself. It also lasted for DAYS - no chipping or scratching, just beautiful shiny purple for nearly a week.
The picture above is from my instagram so doesn't really do it justice but the brush is a really thick, wide almost fan shape so it makes it so easy to get a smooth neat finish even on my left hand ( definitely my favourite nail varnish brush to date!)
I also picked up these OPI varnishes in play the peonies, your royal shine-ness and get your glamour on in tkMaxx for a bargainous £14! Your royal shineness is a gorgeous semi sparkly silver. I've only worn it a couple of times but I've had so many people ask where it's from. It also lasts really well ( no chipping yay!). Get your glamour on is just a standard red nail varnish really, I intend to wear it on my toes if we ever get sandals weather ( fingers firmly crossed!) So far I'm not too how much I like play the peonies. It's hard to tell from the picture above but it is a very pale pinky-white with a lovely pearlised glow to it. It isn't a colour I would usually wear as I like quite bold nail varnish.

the nail polishes are such pretty colors :) your blog is so cute by the way! thanks so much for vising my blog. :) XO
