Clinique blended face powder

After my complexion disaster with Chanel's natural finish loose powder I hot-footed it back to my local boots to repurchase Clinique's blended face powder.

And there it is! This is probably the 8th time I've repurchased this as it doesn't cause me to break out at all ( I really have no idea what it is that causes it as when I use clinique products I have really clear skin but the moment I switch brands BAM ?!?)

Like the Chanel loose powder this product has that same 'shaker' and you have to tip it to get the product out so it's not the most handy packaging ever. I have read other reviews where people have complained about it all getting stuck in the lid and falling out when they open it but I haven't had this problem. I carry my powder everywhere and I know it's stuck in the lid so I open it up right and I can honestly say I've never had any problem with spilling it and wasting it. I love how this powder stops me from getting even the slightest bit oily however I do have to be careful how much I use because it can sometimes look a bit heavy if I wear too much.I use 02 transparency and in the tub it looks a little bit orange but it doesn't come out on my skin at all like that! Plus I really like how it leaves my skin feeling soft and silky. It also lasts months and months ( about 8 i think?) and I use it every day. The powder also comes with the added bonus of a little brush that has a lid. It's not the best brush in the world but I find it really useful for loading with product and taking in a small bag on a night out for sneaky touch ups!

Also during my trip to boots I noticed they had an offer on : buy any two Clinique products and get a free gift.
I'm not usually a sucker for free gifts but I really liked the tin :$

And here is the tin ( kinda cute right??)

And here is what I bought to get the tin...
I'll admit I didn't really need a new cleanser but I've heard good things about this product and I usually get along with Clinique skincare so I thought why not?! I haven't had chance to try it yet but I'll let you know my thoughts as soon as I do!

Anyway! I was quite impressed with the contents of my little tin..

in it there was :

Rinse off foaming cleanser - okay so maybe I had just gone and bought a full size version ( typical) but I guess this is a good little mini for m over night/ travel bag.

Dramatically different moisturising lotion - I used to use this for years and years however one day I decided that it didn't make my skin dramatically different enough to continue paying that much for a moisturiser so I switched to a cheaper one. I'm quite pleased we have been reunited!

Super defense SPF 25 age defense moisturiser - Love that it's SPF 25 but being only 20 I guess I don't really need anti aging products yet? I might give this one to my momma :) or maybe keep it for around my eye area

Moisture Surge tinted moisturiser SPF15- I never really feel that my skin is good enough for a tinted moisturiser, however I'm keen to give this one a go!Maybe I'll use it under my makeup??

Superbalm moisturisng gloss - This feels really thick but I actually like it, there's not much colour but it did feel quite moisturising although I'm not sure it beats my beloved carmex

and last but not least

High Impact mascara - I lovelovelove mini mascaras for throwing in a clutch on a night out. This one has a nice bristle brush instead of plastic too so I'm hoping it's good.

  1. Great review! I wish I could afford Clinique but I'm trying to cut down on the amount of make up I use at the moment anyway because it's too much money!
