I must admit, I'm not a huge drugstore foundation fan. I usually find the shade range doesn't cater for my pale complexion and that's something I really struggle to look past.
Ain't nobody got time for orange lines around your jaw! But after recently falling out of love with my usual foundation I panic bought a tube of this in Boots.
At first I wasn't impressed. I was going through a bit of a bad skin phase and I'd heard the coverage of this stuff was ah-mazing. I really didn't find it to be anything to write home about and still needed concealer to cover any blemishes and marks.
I also found it sank in to my pores throughout the day which I hated. Having large pores is bad enough without your foundation highlighting it further! However, I managed to easily remedy this with a quick dab here and there of Maybelline's Baby Skin primer but it's something to bear in mind if you're more of a grab and go kinda girl, and are just after one product.
My main reason for loving this foundation is the lasting power. I'm often out of the house for 12 hours and find that even on my oily t-zone this stays pretty much put. Now don't get me wrong, it's not looking as flawless at 9 pm as it was at 8 am but it does a pretty good job. I often find that matte foundations aren't all that when it comes to controlling oil but this seems to be the best so far.
I also really like the finish of this too. Sometimes matte foundations can be a bit dulling but I don't think that is the case with this one. Instead, you're left with clean feeling matte skin that lets a little bit of your natural glow through. And for £7.99 it's an absolute steal!
I love this foundation, definitely my favourite budget option!
