The Weekend post

So this week's weekend post is coming to you slightly late- more of a mid week post, I guess. I'm sure most of you will have noticed the snow over the weekend. Whilst I know most people are totally over the idea of Winter and are looking forward to the arrival of spring I still can't help but get excited when I see those first snow flakes falling.

After a pretty chaotic week I definitely felt like I need to head to the countryside for some fresh air and a long walk to help shake off some stress. There's a place in the Peak District that's not too far from us and always seems to get more than it's fair share of snow. Wrapped up tightly we headed off to brave the cold and get some snaps of the Wintery scenery.

I don't know about you guys but I think everything looks so pretty in the snow. The way the sun glistens on it makes things look so magical and it feels so cosy when you finally make it home and you can kick off your wellies and have a mug of hot chocolate.

 After having an unusually warm Winter the cold definitely took us by surprise. Even with my Barts bobble hat , scarf, puffa coat complete with several layers underneath it wasn't long before our cheeks were rosy red and our lips were numb! We did however, spot several cute little dogs out enjoying the snow as well. It's made me even more keen to get a pup asap. Imagine puppy walks in the snow?!
