If there's one thing I can't resist it's a slice of banana bread with a big dollop of almond butter. It's the perfect snack for when you're cuddled up hiding from the rain with a cup of tea and some magazines. An activity I seem to find myself engaging in a lot recently! It's so easy to whip up a loaf and it's a great way of using up any bananas you forgot to eat!
Ingredients:
125g butter
150 caster sugar
1tsp vanilla extract
1 egg, beaten
3 bananas, mashed
100g chocolate chips
190g self raising flour
60ml of milk
The how
1. Grease and line your loaf tin
2. Melt the butter and the sugar in a saucepan over a medium heat and remove from the heat
3. Mash the bananas
4. When the butter and sugar mix has cooled add the bananas and the vanilla and mix well
5. Add the egg and mix again
6. Stir in the flour and Milk and then add the chocolate chips.
7. Pour in to your loaf tin. You can add some extra chocolate chips on top here for decoration if you'd like!
8. Bake at 150 for around 45 minutes
This recipe was pinched from BBC good food. If you're after some recipe inspo then seriously go have a nosy! It'll make you hungry!
This looks so tasty, I love banana bread as it is but the addition of chocolate can only make it better!
