When it comes to hair care I'm all about volume and texture. I have naturally fine, soft hair that just hangs, limp, stuck to my head without a little help. It's taken a fair bit of trial and error but I think I might have finally nailed my styling product routine.
First up, a couple of sprtizs of Bumble and Bumble's Thickening Hair Spray through damp hair helps my fine hair feel a little beefier and adds some volume. I find it hard to go overboard with this stuff, and unlike lots of other volumising products it doesn't seem to make my hair feel sticky, even when I do go a little OTT. For adding volume and oomph this is great but I've noticed that it can be a little drying. I don't really find this a problem; I slather on a hair mask several times a week and I have regular trims so dry hair isn't a big issue for me. If your hair leans more towards the dry side it might be worth trying a sample first and seeing how you get on.
The second product in my styling routine is Bumble and Bumble's Texture undressing cream and I use this on my hair whilst it's damp too. I'd read numerous rave reviews about this stuff but I was a little wary when it came to trying it for myself. It's pretty sticky ( I have to wash my hands after I've used it!) and it feels like the type of product that would just gunk my hair up instead of providing matte bed head hair like promised. With this, less is definitely more and its better to start with a small blob and work your way up. It took me a few goes of trial and error to find out how much I needed but it's worth the effort. It gives my hair the texture it needs but doesn't make it look dry or over-producty (technical term, FYI) but with more of an effortless I've-not-really-tried vibe.
Bumble & Bumble are definitely a brand I need to test out, the thickening hairspray sounds gorgeous!

It's one of my faaaaaves! They do a matching shampoo & conditioner too!!xx
DeleteI love the Bumble and bumble texture creme, it's genuinely one of the few high end hair products I'll end up repurchasing. Although I don't have fine hair, it does an excellent job of making the hair more texturised and giving it more body and hold. I do agree though, because of the gummy texture you have to be wary of how much you use!
