So I just might have a favourite new lipstick

Okay, so this might be a slightly picture heavy post - but who can blame me when packaging is this pretty? I think in a past life I may have been a magpie because anything that's shiny is right up my street. And who can resist a lipstick when it comes packaged like this? *Angels sing* . It's been standing on my dressing table in all of its Art Deco glory since I got it, so I can admire it every now and then. 

When it comes to Summer I love a bold lip and Fontaine is a beautiful hot pink shade that’s been gracing my lips for the last few weeks. It's lovely and bright and completely opaque in one swipe and you can even build it up to be brighter if you fancy! I've just recently come back from my jollys and this shade looks great with a post-holiday tan and really helps add a pop of colour to my usual uniform of dark denim and beige knitwear. The formula is pretty dreamy too. It's so comfortable to wear and is surprisingly hydrating (apparently it's designed to improve hydration levels in the lips after 30 days?!) and I've actually found that I don’t need to apply lip balm beforehand. It has quite a glossy finish to it which isn't usually a finish I would go for in a shade that's so bright but I've actually been enjoying it. This would probably be a great place to start if you fancied something colourful but aren't feeling too brave as the glossy finish makes it a little less 'in your face'.

 Being so hydrating I was a little worried that this might move around a lot but it actually has some pretty incredible lasting power. I wore it to dinner with friends last week and after I had managed to scoff my way through half a bottle of wine and a pint of mac and cheese this bad boy was still going strong and I didn't end up with lipstick on my chin. Winner
