Last Friday I took full advantage of the sun and went for a little spot of lunch with my parents. I hadn't seen them since before I went to Mexico so we had quite a bit of catching up to do. As the weather was so lovely ( seriously, June, keep it up!) we opted for a trip to one of the National Trust properties near by and had a spot of afternoon tea and a nice long walk. My pictures definitely don't do it justice but Lyme Park is a ridiculously beautiful house and gardens and it's so easy to spend an afternoon exploring.
They actually have 3 cafes here but unable to resist a bit of al fresco dinning whilst we had the chance we decided to sit outside in the sun. All three of us chose afternoon tea and spend the next hour and a half scoffing sandwiches, slurping tea and munching scones loaded with clotted cream.
I'm really hoping the good weather we're having at the moment continues!
I really want to go for afternoon tea, but there seems to be no where local to go except Marks and Spencers. This looks like a really nice place to go x

DeleteOh I just love afternoon tea, it's the best thing to do when you want a catch up with friends or family. Those cakes look so yummy x
