Smashbox photo finish primer is one of those products that every blogger has heard of and I regularly see it popping up in favourites posts and it always seems to get good feedback. I don't usually bother with a primer which has why it has taken me so long to try it for myself, but after a recent foundation disaster I found myself suddenly in need of a primer and this was the first one that sprung to mind.
I picked it up from Boots in the travel size version (12ml) for £12.50, and I won't lie it did hurt a little paying so much for such a tiny tube but considering how I only need the tiniest bit it should last a long time. At first I wasn't sure on the gel texture of the primer, it applies very smoothly and I was worried it felt a little greasy however after I apply my foundation I can't even tell it is there. What I have been most impressed with is how smooth my foundation applies after using this. I have relatively large pores ( okay, they're huge) and they're almost undetectable after a smidge of primer and my foundation looks so much smoother and even. It has also been working miracles and keeping my t-zone matte and relatively shine free all day, even after 8 hour days at work, which at the moment is no mean feat!
This sounds like it might be a good investment for me! I'm struggling to find a good primer.

I'm pretty amazed by it too! I thought it might just be hype but it's really been doing an amazing job xx
DeleteI really wanted to try this primer, but the price put me off as I'm so skint at the moment! I might try the travel size one though as it's cheaper - didn't actually realise it came in smaller sizes. Thanks! :) Megan x

I didn't until recently either! it's always wise to try a mini one first just so you know if you'll like it without having to fork out loads!xx
