Bumble & Bumble Dry Spun Finish spray

I've spent what feels like a lifetime lusting after Alexa Chung-esque tousled messy hair, a lifetime that is of trying and failing. My hair is just too soft and floppy to do a 'textured' look. However, with the help of a few styling products to give it some grit I do manage to get part of the way there.
After having used a few texturising sprays before I was super excited when I accidentally spotted the Bumble & Bumble dry spun finish spray on the US website and I couldn't wait for it to come to the UK.
I eventually got round to picking up a bottle ( it took me a while to accept I was going to pay £21 for a hair spray, eeeeeep!) and I'm so glad I did
With raw silk powders this spray is designed to work a bit like a dry shampoo and add volume and oomph to hair as well as texture. At first I was a little apprehensive using it. I've had countless disasters where I've been a little heavy handed spraying products in to my hair and it's left it feeling all sticky and flat. However the Dry spun spray leaves absolutely no residue at all  ( no scary white patches like with a traditional dry shampoo!) and is weightless -  it didn't actually feel like I'd used any product, which I personally love as I hate the feeling of product build up, yuck!
I've been spraying this mainly at my roots and a little through the ends of my hair and then ruffling it with my hands to give it some fullness and that effortless I've-not-tried-too-hard-with-my-hair-today look. I've actually been really impressed with how well this actually holds too - I've found a lot of similar sprays drop after a while and my hair loses the volume.
So far this is my favourite texturising spray I've tired. At £21 it's not cheap but it's nearly half price of the Oribe blogger favourite.

  1. Sounds like a great product although I agree with you about the price - it had better be rocking for that kind of money! Xx

  2. Sounds like an amazing product although a tad pricey, but if it works as well as you say it does I guess it might be worth it! My hair is so naturally straight and fine, I'm always looking for something to add a bit of texture and volume :) xx

    1. If you don't want to fork out for this one you could always try the Tresemme version first and see if you think it does anything for you :) it's a really good cheaper alternative xx

  3. I've heard that sea salt & water in a spray bottle can add some more texture & volume! :) This sounds like a great product though x

    1. I've had a go with sea salt sprays before and even made my own and I just can't get along with them. I have naturally really curly and frizzy hair and the wetness just makes my hair go mental :( I wish I could get away with them though because I know a few people they work miracles for x

  5. I agree that £21 sounds steep for a hairspray, but its worth it if it works!

  8. I'm desperate for something that will give me roots volume but my hair just flops within seconds! Sounds like you have similar hair so if you think this holds, I may have to keep an eye out for this on a deal ;)

  14. I really want to try this but I have one important question. Does it dampen your hair at all? My short hair is so frizzy that a tiny bit of liquid will ruin it and I won't walk around looking like one of those key chain trolls.

The price of the Oribe spray make me a bit dizzy. I'd have to lose my mind a bit before buying that.

    1. No it doesn't wet it at all :) I have super frizzy hair so it would be awful for me if it did! & I know me too! I'm afraid to try it in case it's amazing as everyone says & I can't live without it xx
