After reading so many rave reviews about the new seventeen products I made it my mission to visit their stand and try a few for myself. Unfortunately a few of the things I wanted were out of stock in my shade ( on the spot concealer and phwoar paint) but I did manage to pick up their flawless poreless primer which, being someone with gigantic pores, I was more than happy to take home and test.
What I was most looking forward to was potentially finding another good balm like primer. I've used both the Clarins instant smoothing primer and Benefits porefessional before and I really liked the effect of both and I was hoping this may be a cheaper alternative.
I've been using this for a week now and so far so good. Admittedly it doesn't give the same super smooth, flawless finish as the Clarins primer but it's been doing a great job of camouflaging my pores and makes my skin look so much smoother whilst helping my make up stay in place. Plus I was pleased to see that once applied it loses it's pinky tinge and is completely colourless. I was slightly worried it would feel a bit greasy on my skin but once it's applied you can hardly feel anything and I did find it helped to keep my nose area slightly more matte throughout the day which is always a bonus.
Packaging wise it's not particularly exciting but you do get quite a bit of product for your money and I can see this lasting ages.
For £5.99 I think this is an amazing product and if you suffer from gigantic pores too I really recommend giving this a try.
I've been eyeing up the new No.7 perfect match concealer but this is just a brilliant make do alternative.
ReplyDeleteMay give this a go for the price!

This looks like a great find, I'm using porefessional at the moment so if this is anything like it I'll definitely be giving it a go!
ReplyDeleteHooray for large pores, glad I'm not the only one hah!
Thanks for your lovely comment on my blog, definitely following you :)

I was put off this by the massive packaging (I know, pathetic) but I suppose for £5.99 I might as well just try it. I love the concealer they brought out at the same time as this so you never know.
