A rediscovery: Mac Melon Pigment

Recently I've been making more of an effort to get organised. I've been sorting through the make up stash and throwing away any bits that have been lurking for yonks and generally trying to downsize my collection. Whilst having a good root around I managed to find some items that I just couldn't get enough of back in the day and Mac's Melon pigment was definitely one of them.

I've always had a thing for peachy gold colours, they suit my tiny eyes more than darker shades and Melon is just the prettiest shade. When I first bought this I wore it on a daily basis. A light wash imparts the prettiest golden colour with a hint of shimmer but it can also be built up to give eyes more of a pop.

The only downside to to this, for me, is that I find pigments to be a little bit messy. Being a no fuss kind of girl means I tend to shy away from products that require a bit of effort and I'm always on the lookout for the most convenient thing I can get my hands on. That being said.  I'd completely forgotten how much I love this shade and I've vowed to let it make a comeback in my make up routine.

  1. This is such a unique, pretty shade, I'm amazed at the colour pay off, it's incredible! I really want to try more from MAC and their pigments look like a great item to invest in.

  3. This is by far my favourite pigment, it's a bit of a pain to apply but you're definitely rewarded at the end. I like to spray my brush with Fix + it does make it a little easier but the colour is even more metallic :)
