Ren Resurfacing Concentrate

Ren resurfacing AHA concentrate

Do you ever buy a product, find yourself a little unsure of how to use and then just shove it to the back of your stash? That's exactly what I did here. I bought the Ren Resurfacing Concentrate at the same time I bought the Glycolic fix mask. At the time I was never sure whether I should use this every day, once a week or once a month. I'm quite wary of using things willy nilly that promise to 'resurface' as I have quite sensitive skin and I've learnt the hard way that slathering these kind of things on does not always make for happy skin. Needless to say, after feeling confused and also having a stack of other products to get through I forgot about this and I've only just rediscovered it again.

After a little browse on the Ren website I found that the suggested way to use this was to use a couple of drops every night for a week and then to stop using it for 2 weeks to let your skin regenerate. Armed with my new knowledge and after a recent skin meltdown had left me feeling like my complexion could do with a little brightening I found myself reaching for this again.

With promises of a glowing complexion and a reduction in scaring this sounded like exactly what my skin needed. I dispensed a couple of drops ( a little goes a surprisingly long way) and applied it to freshly cleansed skin every night before bed for the recommended 7 days. It's really lightweight and it's actually quite hard to tell you've used anything. There was a slightly tingly sensation but it wasn't painful and didn't cause any irritation,

A few days in and my skin was already looking less angry and less congested but it wasn't a miraculous change. I think this is one of those products where I'm going to have to wait it out and keep using it to really see how effective it is. If you're after something that's going to be a quick fix then this isn't for you but so far the signs look good so I will keep you posted!

  1. So far this sounds quite interesting, I'd definitely be interested in hearing the long term review!
