Ren Radiance Renewal Mask

Ren Radiance Renewal mask reviewRen Radiance Renewal mask review

Okay, so forgive me for the incredibly Summery photos but I actually snapped these a couple of months back but chose to leave sharing my two cents until I'd had chance to trial it properly.

I'll spare you the woe is me rant about how my skin can be a little on the troublesome side but I purchased Ren's Glycolic Radiance Renewal mask after once again being suckered in by one too many rave reviews and promises of a perfect peachy complexion. Oops.

First up - consistency. On first use I was not a huge fan of this and I can only liken the texture to marmalade or a similar breakfast condiment. Kind of gloopy, kind of sticky, great on toast, but not so much on my face. Fast forward a few months and I've gotten past this and I don't mind slathering it on any more, but I did have to invest in a head band to stop any fringe hairs getting involved in my marmalade face party.

Having skin that leans to the more sensitive side of things I was a tad worried that this might really irritate my skin. I had heard stories of unbearable tingling and burning however I'm pleased to report back that I experienced none of that. It does tingle but I found it to be more of a 'this feels like it's working' sensation than anything else.

After leaving this bad boy to work its magic sloughing away dead skin cells and fighting congestion for 10 minutes, I gently buff it off with a warm muslin cloth to reveal the silkiest smoothest skin of all time. My skin always feels so clean after using this and it looks fresh too. I also noticed that when I used this regularly breakouts became less frequent and my skin looked less congested. I have to admit that I've slipped in to a bit of a lazy skin care routine at the moment and this mask has been shelved for the past couple of weeks and without it I have noticed my skin slipping back to it's old ways.

As far as face masks go this one is definitely a keeper and I'll definitely be whipping it out ASAP to help deal with any post Christmas skin disasters!

  1. This sounds amazing, I've definitely been tempted by the hype. A lot have people have likened it to marmalade, I'm not sure how I would feel about slathering that on my face, haha! The things we do for beauty..hehe!

  2. This sounds great - I also have sensitive skin that can often be quite problematic and so I may have to invest in this! Thank you for your honesty in this review, especially about the initial texture!

  3. I'm so tempted by this, but think I'll be trying the Superdrug Peel mask first as it's a little more budget friendly! x

  4. I definitely need to get my hands on some of this in 2015! I always need help with some blemish scarring so this sounds great for me.
