Every single Monday, usually after a gluttonous weekend, I swear to myself that this week is going to be different. Bye bye baked goods, cya later chocolate and hello fresh fruit and veg. Admittedly this usually only lasts until lunch time but after a browse of some of my favourite fitness accounts on instagram I discovered these almost healthy cookies. So there's still chocolate (YOLO ) but there's no added sugar and there's definitely no flour. Oh, and you probably have all the ingredients sitting in your cupboard already! Here's the link to the recipe I used and it's definitely a site worth checking out if you're after some healthier alternatives ( Note: Avoid if you're feeling hungry!)
Ingredients
2 ripe bananas
1 cup of oats ( you can blitz them in a blender if you want a smoother texture)
1/2 a teaspoon if cinammon
100g of chocolate chips
1/2 a teaspoon of vanilla extract
2 tablespoons of shredded coconut
Method
- Pre-heat your oven to about 180.
- mash the bananas and add in the rest of the dry ingredients and stir thoroughly
- Grease a baking tray and line with grease proof paper
- Using a tablespoon scoop out balls of the mixture and shape. You can make larger cookies or smaller bite-size versions, it's completely up to you!
- Pop them in the oven for around 10 to 15 minutes depending on how large you have made them.
Voila!
