Current foundation wardrobe

Meet my current foundation wardrobe. Having 3 foundations on rotation might seem a little unnecessary but when Winter decides to play havoc with my skin meaning some days I suffer with dry patches and on others my skin oily by 9 am I like to try and be prepared.

This has been my go to foundation for a while now. It's superlight as the name suggests yet still manages to cover any redness and most imperfections although some blemishes might still require a touch of concealer. I really like the natural finish of this too, it's not too radiant but has a real my skin but better look to it which comes in particularly handy for those 6 am starts. The lasting power of this stuff is amazing too and it really does last all day with very little need for a touch up even on my most oily days. As an every day all rounder this is the way to go.

When I first purchased this I hated it as it would slide off my face after two hours leaving me a shiny patchy mess. I'm not sure what has changed  but when I revisited it a couple of months back it seemed like a whole new product. I find the coverage is excellent, it really is good skin in a bottle and the shade Mont Blanc is perfect for my Winter complexion. Plus there is no SPF making it great choice for all those photos at Christmas parties!

During the summer this was my favourite foundation. It feels so watery and light and only requires the tiniest blob to cover a whole face. I also found it gives quite a nice semi matte finish without making my skin look really flat and for such a thin foundation it covers pretty well. If you have a particularly angry blemish I would say that some concealer will be needed to ensure a totally flawless base.
The lasting power of this stuff is also something to shout about. Even on the most oily days it doesn't budge or slide about. My only grumble is that it is quite fragranced and I have a sneaky suspicion that when I use it every day it breaks me out which is such a shame!

  1. I really need to pick up the No7 foundation, especially while I've still got a No7 money off voucher!

  3. I love the No 7 foundation too, especially as you can get a perfect colour match in store. I'd actually abandoned it for sometime in favour of other products but recently returned and was reminded of how much I enjoy using it.

  4. I tried the NARS Sheer Glow before but I think I prefer the NARS Sheer Matte for my skin type as it does tend to get a little shiny throughout the day. I can definitely understand the hype around the NARS foundations and tinted moisturizers though. It's just the price that tends to put me off a little. xx
