Unless you've been living under a rock the past few weeks it will have been impossible to have missed the ( slightly) warmer weather we've been having. I'm always one to embrace ' Summer' and as soon as April ends wooly scarves are officially stashed away, it suddenly becomes okay to lunch outside, and I fully refuse to wear anything other than sandals from May to the end of September.
Admittedly I do find it a little bit daunting baring my tootsies for all the world to see. Feet kind of gross me out and after a Winter of being hidden away under several layers of socks my poor little feet could do with a little TLC before they're ready to make their sandal debut.
First up is of course exfoliation. Dry cracked heels ain't pretty and can so easily be remedied with a little scrub every now and then. My personal favourite tool is the Body Shops File a Foot. It smoothes skin really well and has two sides depending whether you want harder or softer exfoliation. You'll be on your way to smoother feet in no time.
Being quite prone to dry skin I have to moisturise before bed every night ( chore!). Soap & Glory's Heel Genius comes in really handy for feet and is lovely and light. I like to slather it on before bed and let it work it's magic over night. In the morning? Baby soft feet.
For me, nail polish is an essential when it comes to wearing sandals. I feel like my feet just look weird if they're not got a few coats of colour to them. My shade of choice is always red. Not very adventurous but I love a bright colour and Estee Lauder's Pure Red is just the perfect shade, plus this stuff is completely unchippable so it's prefect for toes. I do always make sure I use Orly's Rubberised Base coat though to avoid any staining as I've learnt the hard way that red polish NEEDS a base coat. Skip it & you will regret it!
Have you got your feet out yet?!

I'm the same. I always ignore 'foot care' in the Winter but when Summer comes i always whip out the moisturiser. I would recommend Burts Bees foot cream.

Heel Genius made my feet worse somehow, so I've been lathering on Hemp Hand Cream from The Body Shop and WOW, my feet have never been in such good condition! I also cannot look at my toes unless they're painted, generally it's always red, classic and goes with pretty much everything! Toes just look happier with a little polish on!
