Melvita Oils

I'll admit it. I used to be pretty scared of using an oil anywhere near my face. It's no secret that my skin is less than perfect and the idea of covering my already oily T-zone in yet more oil sent me running for the hills.Over the last few months however I've gradually incorporated a few different oils in to my skin care routine and have really been enjoying the benefits.
The skin on my forehead gets incredibly dry and it takes some seriously intense moisturising to stop it resembling the skin of an elephant. I sometimes find that my usual moisturiser just doesn't cut it in the hydration department and I've recently been reaching for Melvita's avocado oil. This lovely green oil won't be winning any fragrance awards any time soon, if you've smelt it you'll know what I mean, but it will rectify even the most stubborn dry bits leaving your skin soft and nourished after just a few uses. It does take a little while to skin in but the results are worth it. Initially I was using this every night but as it's improved my skin so much I can now use it just a few times a week and my skin still feels lovely and supple. I also love that it is 100% organic and full of skin loving vitamins and fatty acids. I've recently been using quite a few organic products and they really seem to be helping to get my skin back in shape after my foundation disaster.

Argan oil is probably a much more common oil and we probably all have a bottle lurking in our beauty cabinets somewhere. I initially intended to use this as a facial oil but after running low on my usual hair oil I decided that I'd be a bit adventurous and involve some of this in my hair care routine. I've used argan oil in my hair before and never been particularly impressed but this time around it seems to be working for me. I don't know whether it's just my hair that is generally in a better condition, or whether this is a better standard of oil than my previous ones but the ends of my hair have been feeling a lot softer and less frazzled.
I've also been using it as a cuticle oil too. I get really dry hands in winter and this has been providing the perfect little bit of TLC before bed or when I'm painting my nails. As a facial oil this has also been great. I've been using it around my eye area and nose where my skin can often feel tight. The skin in these areas now feels a lot more comfortable and the area around my nose is noticeably less red. Mixed in with body lotion it also seems to be working miracles and keeping my pins thoroughly moisturised.
I really do love a good multitasking product. If you have any other uses for either of these people let me know in the comments!
