Hi everyone! Hope you're all having a lovely week so far despite the horrible weather. I've spent most of mine hiding from the cold in my bed and eating my own weight in pancakes and Reece's peanut cups, yum!
If you regularly read my blog you'll know that me and my hair aren't always the best of friends; it point blank refuses to grow and insists on being dry and wild, whilst I continually attack it with heated tools and dye it every colour under the sun. It's because of this that I'm forever on a quest to find products that can give me Mirada Kerr-esque locks ( a girl can dream!) and will just generally perk up my hair.
After trawling through some of my favourite blogs I saw that this particular treatment kept popping up and it was getting some pretty high praise, so of course I had to try it for myself. Typically boots had a 3 for 2 on ( thankyaaa boots!) so I picked up the Lee Stafford go lighter spray and two tubs of this because I was feeling confident it was going to be good. Turns out I wasn't wrong!
The product itself looks like a pretty standard hair mask, it's a pinkish thick conditioner and smells absolutely lovely. I've been using it as suggested in the shower between shampooing and before conditioning and leaving it on for five or so minutes. I'm not going to lie, it has been a bit of a challenge to entertain myself in the shower for five minutes whilst I wait for this to do it's magic. I don't think I've ever been so throughly washed or exfoliated in my life!
When I first rinsed the product out I was a little disappointed by the feel of my hair, usually after a hair mask it feels super soft and gorgeous but after this it just felt okay but nothing amazing. I felt like once again I'd been suckered in by the hype and bought another average product. However, after I applied my usual conditioner and rinsed it I was amazed at how lovely and silky my hair felt! It was love. When I dried and styled my hair it looked so much smoother and shinier than before too.
I've been using it every wash as suggested for the past month or so and still have a third of a tub left. Since I started using it I've had several comments on how nice my hair looks and it feels in much better condition than before and my dry ends are much less obvious. As for growth I haven't noticed any major changes there but as it improves follicle health and helps reduce hair loss I guess all that will take a while to kick in.
Overall I absolutely love this and I will definitely be repurchasing a few more tubs next time it is on 3 for 2. Have you tried this treatment? What did you think? Have you any tips for hair growth?

I havent tried this but reading this may give it a go! Lovely post

ReplyDeleteMine too :( doing everything possible to get it to grow at the moment haha xx
DeleteI've tried this, like you, I thought it left my hair in lovely condition (unlike most Lee Stafford products which I really don't like) but equally I didn't think it really made any difference growth wise (I had a dream of waking up looking like Rapunzel...probably unrealistic...) Lovely review! x

Definitely want to give this a go. I would say just condition and look after your hair. Dont use a hair dryer too much too :) xx
ReplyDeleteI'm completely the same with dyeing my hair & constantly using straighteners heat etc, I will definitely consider giving this product a go.. sounds really good, I am in need of having silky hair again! I also use moroccan oil, a little different to this product but i would recommend.

Would love for you to follow my new blog if you're interested xx
My hair literally does not grow anymore! I gave up on the straighteners last year and now stick to blow drying, I've been so lazy with hair masks recently but I think I'll give this a try :)

ReplyDeleteHair Fall Treatment
After my hair lost it's natural glow when I dyed it blonde, I began looking for a hair oil to restore its healthy sheen. Not only does the Shielo Hair Oil have a wonderful smell, it made my hair silky soft and gave it a lustrous shine.
ReplyDeleteI tried many different hair conditioning products, only to be left disappointed. Many of the other hair oils I tried either did nothing for my hair, or left my hair incredibly greasy. Shielo's Oil is the first conditioning treatment that has left my hair silky soft and shiny without weighing it down.
herbal products like amla, sikaikai, lemon stops hair fall naturally.
