I purchased this way back in January after reading so many reviews by people claiming it had worked miracles for them and after having tried every single skin care product on the planet in my quest for perfect skin I guess I got sucked in by the hype too and found myself placing an order!
First off, this product isn't cheap, I can't remember exactly but I think it cost me about £120 at the time but it did come with a travel sized version of their cleanser and a sensitive brush head, all of which can be bought seperately.
What Clarisonic has to say :
'Clarisonic Sonic Skin Cleansing Systems use a patented sonic frequency
of more than 300 movements per second to gently, yet thoroughly remove
6X more makeup and 2X more dirt and oil than cleansing with your
hands alone'
&how to use it :
'Use circular motion; 20 sec. on forehead, 20 sec. on nose/chin, 10 sec. on each cheek'.
Of course they recommend that you use it with their own cleanser but you could really use whatever you wanted as long as it's not too abrasive. I use it with my Clinique gentle foaming cleanser mainly just because I can pop in to my local boots and pick it up rather than having to mail order it like Clarisonic's own cleanser.
Admittedly I was a little skeptical as to how this little brush could remove so much more makeup than my trusty cleanser and cotton wool pads in just a minute. However, when I first used it I was actually really shocked at just how dirty the brush was by the time I had finished using it and this was after I had allegedly removed my makeup.
My experience so far:
The instructions say you should use the brush twice a day and of course I was concerned at first that this might lead to me over-cleansing my skin even though I was using the sensitive brush head but it doesn't at all. It never leaves my skin with that horrible tight just-washed feeling and the bristles on the brush are so soft it doesn't even feel like it's doing anything to your face! If you have read some of my other posts you'll know that my skin tends to throw a wobbler at everything so I think it's okay to say this product is okay for even the most sensitive skins. After 10 months I currently have the best skin I've ever had, it is smoother, brighter and feels so much fresher and less clogged up which means I can wear so much less makeup. It did take a week or two to actually show an improvement ( in fact for a short while my skin got slightly worse) but it was definitely worth the wait.
i am looking for this type of
ReplyDeleteproduct as well but am not sure
if i should buy one.
this helped a lot.

I haven't heard of this before but it sounds brilliant. My skin is being a pain at the moment so I need to try something a bit different to my usual cleansing routine, might have to look into this. :)

I really want to try this, I'm just worried about the stage where your skin gets worse for a bit but I'm sure it's worth it!xx
ReplyDeleteI am always too scared to try this as I always think it'd be too harsh for my skin but I've always heard good things about it.
ReplyDeleteI've wanted this for agesssss but stil never got round to getting it because its so expensive! where did u get yours from?

I've read many reviews, but until reading yours hadn't felt like I needed to go out and buy this. Now I do!! My skin is so sensitive too, and it's probably at it's worst lately. I will definitely think about investing in a Clarisonic :) xx
