Bumble and Bumble Surf Collection

photo IMG_9009_zpsxfcuuwqh.jpg It's actually been a while since I switched up my hair routine. My mornings seem to be getting increasingly early and I'm finding I just don't have time for straightening or bouncy blow dries. Most days my hair is twisted up in to a top knot before you can say kirby grip. Having said that, I did receive Bumble and Bumble's Surf Collection for Christmas. It's a little set with travel sized versions of some of their most cult products and I'm sure you've heard the rave reviews too.

When it comes to shampoo I like something light. I like the squeaky clean hair feeling and I like it to stay feeling clean too and that's exactly what I got from using the surf shampoo. The fragrance is wonderful too but it didn't actually linger that long but that's not really that important. It lathers beautifully and really felt like it cleansed my hair and got rid of any product build up.

The conditioner is really lovely too. It feels quite thick and solid which means a little goes a long way ( anything to justify a repurchase, right?) and it was really nourishing. It didn't weigh down my hair but left my dry, frizzy ends looking a little less parched.

As for the surf spray. I'm forever lusting after beautiful pinterest worthy beachy waves. I'm not sure a product like this is really suited to my hair type. Having frizzy, naturally wild hair I often find that things that are designed to give it body can leave my locks a bit too big. We're taking more cave girl than anything else. With that in mind I tried to use this as sparingly as possible. At first I think I was definitely spraying my hair a little too closely which resulted in it just feeling overloaded with product and a bit sticky. Trial and error was my friend here and I think that I've finally found the right amount of spritzing for my hair type. I like the look this gives but for me, it's just a little too much effort. It's definitely one I'm going to hide away ready for my holiday this summer.

  1. This is one of those collections that I've been meaning to try for such a long time, but I never get around to it!
