Mousse is one of those products that I go through phases with. I either love it, or I hate it and I find they can be a little hit and miss. I've lost count of the times I've bought one and it's been too sticky or heavy, or it just doesn't do much for me.
I picked up Toni and Guy's Volume Plumping mousse on a bit of a whim; I needed a new mousse and merely the inclusion of the word 'volume' in the title is enough to lure me and my for ever flat hair in. Texture wise it's the same as any other mousse. I'm unsure if I have a dodgy bottle but I've struggled sometimes to get it to come out fluffy and instead it comes out as a runny liquid and doesn't really plump up like you would expect. Whilst this is a bit annoying it's not the end of the world and the real let downs come post blow dry. Whilst drying my hair I can feel the product and it makes it feel sticky and horrible to touch. I've tried using different amounts but the results are still the same - sticky hair. Afterwards there's very little volume too. I only use a mousse to give my hair a bit of oomph and help it a little in the volume department but unfortunately this delivers neither. It's barely noticeable that I've used any kind of product and in all honesty I find it pointless to use
If you have a good mousse recommendation please let me know!
