Benefit Hello Flawless Foundation review

I bought this foubndation on a bit of a whim really. I'd popped to the Benefit counter to buy another theyre real mascara and the assistant asked if id tried their foundation. I hadn't but I'd heard some really good things about it and after a bit of a chat I decided to purchase it in ' believe in me'. I probably wouldn't have purchased a new foundation i had felt like my usual clinique was letting me down that day.

Despite setting me back £23.50 I was actually really excited to try this foundation because of all the good reviews I've read and I don't think I've ever really dislked a benefit product so I had high hopes. The Packaging is typically cute Benefit and comes with a pump so you can easily control the amount. Apparently this foundation not only makes you 'flawless' but the oxygen in it is actually supposed to improve your skin which I really liked the sound of. Despite it being a light coverage foundation I still thought I'd give it a try because I hate when my skin feels weighed down by heavy makeup and I'd rather use a concealer where needed than have a really full coverage foundation all over plus this is oil free. It also has quite a runny consistency which I quite liked as it felt it smoothed on to my face really easily.

Here is the foundation on my forearm and below it is smoothed out.

I have been applying this foundation so far with my real techniques stippling brush ( which I LOVE by the way) and with my usal MAC prep and prime underneath however I have been mixing it with my usual clinique, mainly to get slightly more coverage and also to use up the clinique foundation ( seems a waste to not use a nearly brand new bottle?!). I love the finish this gives overall - not too heavy and like a my skin except  better. And fortunately it hasn't irritated my skin which is a huge bonus for any foundation! I do have slightly oily skin and I find that with this foundation I have to set it with powder a couple of times during the day to keep it looking it's best which for me isn't a big deal really.

  3. I love this foundation! I do agree about having to powder though, my skin isn't even that oily and I have to powder once or twice during the day but other than that I think it's a lovely foundation:) x
