Clinique Take The Day Off Cleansing Balm

Clinique take the day off cleansing balm review photo clinique4_zpsbtb77epd.jpg When it comes to skincare I'm pretty loyal to Clinique. Their fragrance free formulas just seem to agree with my skin, and there's never any irritation or upset. Plus, I generally find they work and do great things for my skin, except for the odd exception ( I'm looking at you Clarifying Lotion!)

It's taken me absolutely yonks to get round to trying their Cleansing balm. I've been using the Body Shop's Chamomile Cleansing Balm for a good while and it's been a challenge to get to the end. That tiny looking tub just keeps on giving!

Since Cleasnsing balms have become a permanent addition to my skincare routine I really feel like I've started to see some benefits.  I used to have such a fear of cleansing balms. Having naturally oily  skin I was always worried that they would clog pores, or leave my skin feeling greasy. As it turns out I couldn't have been more wrong- instead of overly greasy skin I'm left with super fresh, thoroughly cleansed skin that's sooo soft and comfortable .

Clinique's cleansing balm has been such a  luxurious addition to my night time skin care routine - in that it completely melts in to the skin and removes any left over traces of make up. I always start with Garnier's micellar water to remove the bulk of my make up but I like to double cleanse to make sure that everything has completely gone.

I've been applying the balm to dry skin, massaging it in and letting it melt away make up. I then buff it off with a warm flannel for some extra exfoliation and follow it up with my usual night time routine.
