A new foundation love

urban decay all nighter foundation review
Urban Decay All Nighter foundation- 0.5
It's been a long while since a foundation launch has really excited me. After reading numerous reviews and press information this sounded like my dream foundation and I couldn't wait to try it. When I attempted to actually purchase this, my shade 0.5 seemed to be constantly out of stock so it actually look me a while to get my hands on this beauty.

So what is it? A matte, oil free foundation that promises long wear. What's not to love? This foundation has 3x more pigment than their Naked Skin offering, plus it's waterproof and paraben free.

It comes in gorgeous packaging too. I really like how you can see through to see how much product is left and there's an airless pump to make sure you really get all of the product out. I just love it when a foundation comes with a pump!

Packaging aside, the product itself packs a serious punch. Since purchasing this I've ditched concealer altogether as the coverage is just so darn good. Urban Decay weren't kidding when they said that this stuff is super pigmented. It just seems to cover everything and you only need the tiniest little bit. I have found that I do need to be quick with my buffing brush to ensure a flawless application as it dries super quick but that's the only niggle I have. It doesn't sink in to pores or fine lines and it lasts ALL day. The matte finish manages to be matte and long lasting, without being flat or mask-like.

Lasting power is something I often struggle with, especially as I have an oily t-zone but I think I might have finally found a product to combat that.

If I'd applied it in the morning and was going out for drinks after work then there'd definitely need to be some powder touch ups but the wear time of this is amazing. The foundation itself doesn't fade away or disappear but towards the end of a long day (we're talking maybe 9 hours since application) but my t-zone does get a little oily.

I'm also pretty impressed with how good a colour match this is for my skin. I really liked the shade range and there seemed to be a good choice of colours. I'm sure you've heard by now however just how much this can oxidise. In an attempt to combat this I swatched a few shades in store that I thought might work for me and walked round for a while to let them dry. In all honesty I personally haven't found them to oxidise as bad as other people have- to the point where the product is no longer wearable. I don't find the 0.5 shade to oxidise on me any more than any other foundation I've used.

The coverage, the shade range, the finish- everything is just how I'd like it to be. This is definitely something for the repurchase list and if like me you struggle with that dreaded oily t-zone - you need to try this!
